Re: Camry Transmission
Hi:The transmission does have a filter, girlfriend can obtain the infectious diseases world fashion kit native toyota. I favor the Amsoil artificial trans fluid. I have due to the fact that converted the infectious diseases worldwide to synthetic some 50 K ago, quiet going strong.Hope this helpsTRD_Rob

Have a tranny filter? Absolutely. I drained the liquid from the pan by loosening bolts. Removed pan, gasket and also filter, then replaced with new g and f. Fill with new fluid the precise amount drained. Disconnected tranny cooler line and also placed right into a container, started engine and also as dirty liquid from talk converter to be being expelled, changed with brand-new fluid as much as full/hot mark on dipstick. Mobil synthetic? Absolutely.
Yeah, over there is a filter, but you don"t need to necessarily replace it. Haynes manual suggests to wash it through clean at fluid and put the back. You can also just want to perform a drain and refill in which situation you won"t even need a brand-new pan gasket.
cyman73, all of the methods pointed out are good. I don"t understand if this is overkill for you but I installed an in-line infection filter from Magnafine come filter the end fine particles and also replace it perhaps every 30,000 miles. Cheap insurance.kamrhee

Whoa a 100$?!?!!? when I visited the dealer ship they stated there to be no filter on my 98. Turns out there in reality wasnt one. I heard yes sir a strainer in it what or soemthing along that matter. Yet 100$ is insane, perhaps 30$ tops. I paid like 12$ because that the gasket if i remember right.

97 Camry 4 cyl through 171K miles. Beginning at 50K i"ve drained the pan and refilled v standard Dex/Merc liquid at 10K intervals. Shifts as smoothly together the job I got it.

The Aisin A140E series transmission supplies a strainer. Walk to your local parts store and ask to see Fram ATF kit. ~$12 top top rockauto.com. They provided to come through a cork-rubber gasket. However for some reason no longer shows in picture. That"s why i say walk to the store to see it. Ns order filter (well, strainers really) and gaskets native the neighborhood Transtar Industries
. Acquire the cork-rubber, no fiber gasket. Compete prices but may not be together convenient together your local NAPA, O"Reilly, Autozone, and so on etc. I provided Fram beacuse it"s a cork-rubber gasket, not some cheap looking recycled crushed tire bits gasket. For reduced cost think about Walmart Mercon V semi-synthetic compatible with Dexron II/III. It"s usually a Warren UniLube product, certified through Ford however.
