Is it great for mine 02 3.9 5spd (NV3500) I have to replace the fluid because the truck is obtaining close to 90,000 miles. Thanks!
I used it in mine old 03 dakota through the nv3500 and also really chosen it. Specifically considering that is 7.00 contrasted to 19.00 for the mopar stuff and also 18.00 because that RP. I would use it.Also my truck had actually 130,000 miles and also shifted an excellent even once the temps to be 0 or below.

I"ve make the efforts Amsoil in my tranny and I didn"t choose the method the shifts felt. So i went with the Pennzoil juice and it felt so much better. That takes 2 liters i beg your pardon is 2.25 qts

I think the mopar ingredient is good, but the pennzoil is simply as great for 1/3 the price. Mine took roughly 2 quarts.
Just gained done an altering it. Lol uncovered out i just had around 1/2 quart in there!!! Anyways, ns took the truck for a check drive best after and also when i really get on the gas, 2nd gear grinds once i try to transition for around 5 sec the slips in. It seems a little notchy transparent the remainder of the gears. I"m reasoning i may need come let this oil cycle v for about 100 mile then adjust it again. I saw a crap ton of steel shavings on the magnetic plug. Any kind of suggestions on what this is would certainly be helpful!!

Only method to know is tear that apart and also check the damage.Manual or automatic transmission, either needs the fluid readjusted between 20K come 30K miles intervals.

Manual or automatically transmission, either requirements the fluid changed between 20K to 30K miles intervals.
Not true, the hands-on trannies in our trucks don"t need a liquid change, it"s good for the life that the vehicle. The Mopar fluid is a fabricated oil. I"m curious come know how you only had actually 1/2 a quart in the tranny? Did friend see any leaks or wets clues on the tranny case, when changing the fluid?
Check her synchros. I had that probem in my Cavalier, had to let the engine drop down before it would certainly go into third gear. Ultimately it acquired so negative that I had to skip over third gear. Then fourth gear went bad. Then it expense me 2200 for a junkyard infectious diseases world fashion and brand-new clutch. So yea, gain this identified now while the is still a relatively cheap fix.

I agree with this. I had actually syncro issues between my first and second gear transition for a few years. The symptoms room a grinding once shifting and also it won"t go in equipment unless below 2000 rpms. I worked approximately it by starting out in 2nd. This got me v a few years. It acquired real negative last year wherein it wouldn"t even stay involved in 2nd gear. I lastly got mine tranny overhauled. Gained it done through a friend and it only set me back 450 bucks. Ns don"t even want come think the what a shop would have charged me.

By the time mine started popping out of gear, the tranny exploded as soon as they took it apart. 600 dollars of the was clutch since it to be pissing fluid on the clutch disk. Aamco said I still had one more 50 thousand miles on that clutch
Well take it the truck because that a nice small drive to see if there were any type of other issues as far as the tranny is concerned. Starting in first is fine, beginning in second is fine. Changing from 1st to 2nd, or from third to 2nd causes a an excellent grind until the rpms get listed below 1500, and it only happens top top a cold engine. When the engine is warm, whatever is fine. All various other gears are just fine, just second gear. I"ll probable acquire the truck to a shop to inspect the syncros because I don"t understand the first thing about trannies, and also I don"t desire to screw something up much more than it already is. Bad part is, the Dakota is my day-to-day driver. Mine wife needs her vehicle everyday (newborn baby) and also its method to cold come ride my motorcycle. So hope it will certainly be fine till I can obtain it examine out. Also, i don"t psychic seeing any we point out or anything. The engine additionally burns about 1/2 quart every 5000 miles, probably I simply need come stick to a tranny do the washing up every 20000-30000 miles simply as a fale safe.
